Dmg Vs Attack Speed Ullr 2016
Hmm I think you are confused by some info you may have read.% dmg is what it is, damage for your weapon. Now, if you use attack speed and you NEED it for your skill (not all skills benefit from attack speed) then you are better of with attack speed. Make sure you check the breakpoints for your skills and try to get it from other items/skills too. Mar 09, 2015 If you enjoyed the video please be sure to like it! If you're playing the free rotation champs, Twitch is another one who works better with attack speed to stack his passive and then Expunge. I think you touch on the answer yourself - it is situational, and it depends not only on your champ but on the support; Nunu can boost your attack speed, while Sona has a heal so you don't necessarily have to rush the life steal. However my attack speed when I take off all the IAS gear and go for straight damage stats only drops by.5 and I lose about 3k damage as a stat, but when I attack I'm seeing my hits go from 40k-80k hits vs the 20k-40k hits with IAS. Now granted they do hit slightly faster, but I just don't feel that the damage is all that comparable.

- For builds, check [this page](http://www.smite.guru While building in Smite is very situational, grappul offers a nice basic build that off of which
- you can base your own, optimized build. If you want me to go into details on a certain item / on all of them simply say so and I will.
- ##Useful items
- **Transcendence:** Some people like to start with transcendence over devourer's on Ullr. This allows you to spamm more early aswel as do more ability based dmg. It really just comes down to what you play like.
- #Skills
- ##Skilling
- Keep in mind that everyone has their own preferences and that the 'best' way to skill is the one that best suits your playstyle. There are, however, some basic guidelines that are worth following, which are what I'll try to list below.
- That said, Ullr is kind of a special case. His damage aswel as his CC and escape come from his 1 and 3 in the different stances. Your 2 is your attack or movementspeed steroid, depending on the stance. Usually, you want to level your 1 and 3 about evenly and only skill your 2 once you've maxed those two out.
- I myself like to put a point into your 4 at lvl 5, just for the little bit of lifesteal & atk speed. In the end it's really up to personal prefrence. I like to max my 2 before my 4, other people are the exact opposite. It's really up to you.
- 1&3>2>4
- 3-1-1-3-4
- Don't skill until the very second that you're going to use it. Keep your skillpoint ready incase the enemy tries to invade / your team needs you. Be ready to put a point in your escape ability if you need to get out quick: it's better to
- lose out on a little bit of earlygame power instead of giving away first blood.
- ##Weapon Master
- When Ullr uses an ability in either stance his cooldowns in the opposite stance are reduced.
- ##Bladed Arrow (Thrown Axe)
- **Ranged:** Ullr fires a bladed arrow in a line, dealing damage and passing through all targets it hits. **Melee:** Ullr throws an axe in a line, hitting a single target dealing damage and stunning it.
- **Ranged:** Ullr gains bonus physical power for 5s. **Melee:** Ullr gains bonus move speed for 5s. These effects are lost if Ullr changes stances.
- **Ranged:** Ullr fires a volley at his target location, dealing damage. **Melee:** Ullr leaps to his target location, dealing damage in an AoE on arrival.
- Ullr changes stance. **Ranged:** Ullr uses his yew bow, removing disarms and gaining additional attack speed. **Melee:** Ullr uses his axes, removing disarms and gaining additional physical lifesteal.
- The most common combo on Ullr is **axe 1 - switch stance - bow 3 - bow 1**
- The stun allows you to hit your 3 for sure. After that you follow up with your bow 1, as this is easier to hit if he's not stunned anymore (where the bow 3 has a circular AOE, the bow 1 damages everyone in a line, making it easier to hit enemies who are running / dashing away).
- * If you know that you're not going to get ganked and your enemy is close to death, you can switch back to axe stance, use your 2 to get movementspeed and leap after them with your 3. Switch back to bowstance and you should be able to kill them with your ranged AAs. Using your 2 in meele stance not ony gives you movement speed but also lowers the CD of your bow stance skills in case oyu need them to clear up.
- ###Your 2 (ranged)
- This is your attack speed steroid. You wont be using this too much during the early game, but it helps when taking objectives aswel as in late game fights.
- ###Escaping
- If you have to run, switch to axe stance and use your 2. This will give you a little extra speed to get away from enemies. You can save your 3 for when you desperately need it (e.g. enemy skill incoming) aswel as to get over walls and lose your opponents that way.
- Staying in axe stance will also allow you to throw out your stun to stopp enemies from chasing you.
- ###Switching stances
- If you want to be successful as Ullr you need to get those switches down. Practice quickly switching stances and firing off certain skills. Not only is this vital to getting your combo off fast enough (if you just walk around in axe stance they might be wary, if you quickly switch from bow to axe you can catch them off guard) but
- it's also important for your own savety. Quickly switching and hopping over a wall is definitely an important skill.
- ###Axe stance vs. bow stance
- 9/10 times you'll be fighting in bow stance. Your ult gives you additional dps if you're in bow stance, and your major damaging abilities are also in bow stance. In most fights, you'll only use your axe stance to either chase, escape, or stun.
- **However** some fights are better fought in axe stance. This is usually the case if you're very low on health. Attacking him in axe form allows you to quickly gain health back aswel as making it harder for him to hit you. If he's very low and you have your leap up it might also be beneficial to just leap at him and finish him off in axe form, rather than switching stances (which takes a little bit of time to do).
- The last scenario where you want to use your axe AAs is if you're clearing a camp / GF / FG and you're need the lifesteal.

' i just want to know the truth. i am not talking about better build or strong build. i don't care of the game. i just want to know attack speed vs physical damage in skill tree. i dont have time to memorize every skills in there. and i can't compare each of them. just tell me speed or phy dmg is better if i use lightning strike with 100% correct proof with numerical value. | Posted by rsthrsdj on Feb 6, 2013, 2:16:41 AM |
hi there, i have a similar problem.. choosing between damage or speed well, i've done some calculating and dps wise i think 'in general' speed is better than damage some thought's on why i come to that conclusion: 1. attack speed raises all your damage. - it doesnt matter if its elemental, physical or converted. as long as the damage is applied with each hit, it will benefit from more attack speed 2. the way the percenteges are dealt with in the damage formula - the thing is.. that there are way more buffs for damage than for speed. that may sounds a bit akward but this fact makes speed actually the better stat. think about it. let's say u have a ring that gives u +100% physical damage. would that ring double your total damage? no, of course not. thats because your character will have alot more +phys. dmg % buffs and the ring damage buff would just be accumulated with your 'ordinary' buffs. take this (simplified)example: say your weapon does 100 damage your character has (through nodes, items, weapon specializations etc) a total of +250% physical damage so u would do 100 + (100*2,5) = 350 damage now u find that awesome ring that gives u +100% physical damage so u would do 100 + (100* (2,5 + 1)) = 450 damage the +100% phys. damage from the ring in this example would translate to 30% more total damage. ok, thats not THAT suprising. the same thing applies to attack speed. well.. yes and no. yes, because the mechanic is indeed the same (more or less). no, because u will have a much lower speed percentage buffs in the first place. so each 1% of a speed buff u add, will have more value in the formula. (a melee character with passives alone, can easily achieve 300% increased physical damage. but its very hard to get to 100% increased attack speed) the funny thing is, that the more u invest in damage buffs the more valuable speed buffs become (and vice versa of course) so say u have 300% increased physical damage and 100% increased attack speed. that would mean, that for each 1% of increased attack speed, you would need something like 4% increased physical damage to get to same same amount of more damage dealt (more or less) that said, there are three things that must be considered. 1. if your build relies heavy on converted damage (like hatred, where +xx% of your physical damage will be added as elemental damage), having more increased physical damage could be better. that is because the actual damage added will be determined AFTER all your damage buffs had been calculated and then added as extra damage. quick (simplified)example: 100 base damage, 200% buffs, 20% converted (added) damage: 100+ (100*2)+ (100+(100*2))*0.2 = 300 + 60 = 360 so the +20% converted (added) damage REALLY boosts your (raw)damage by 20% but still.. like i said above attack speed will obviously also increase this type of damage. 2. mana costs having more attack speed can really drain your mana fast as u will do more attacks. 3. dimishing returns ok this is complicated..and i have to say, that i am not quite familiar with this topic, so everything i know is from hearsay :) in later games enemys will have a high armour rate, thats basicly means that: the more damage you do with each single hit, the more total damage u will effectivly deal. if you need more hits do deal the same amount of damage, u will effectivly deal less total damage simplefied explanatory example: 500 damage per hit do 200 damage 100 damage per hit do 30 damage, so 5 hits (5*30) would do only 150 damage (ok, i'll hope that i am not totally talking bullshit^^ if i did any errors please feel free to correct me) Last edited by RedNoak on Feb 27, 2013, 7:12:04 AM | Posted by RedNoak on Feb 27, 2013, 7:10:13 AM |
